I (Terry) grew this out many years ago in my garden in Ohio. I seem to remember that the original story was that a tourist brought seed back from a market tomato in Israel and passed them along to a friend that offered them in the SSE yearbook. This may or may not be accurate but I do have an un-canny ability to retain tomato histories like a library in my head. I sold this seed at one time years ago but not until this year did I have it back in the rotation. This is one huge red monster of a tomato. For fans of red old timey giants, this is perfection. Large and in charge. Beautiful beefsteak with a clean, fresh taste while giving meaty solid slices.
