The history on this one is a bit murky. It is supposedly a Russian non commercial variety. The seed came from a Belorusian seed collector in 2007. It’s not clear why it was named after the famous former Prime Minister of India killed in 1984. When I grew them in my garden the fruits were picture perfect. No cracking or catfacing. Dark and sweet with a solid flesh. Most were about 8 -14 oz. (200-400 Gm). Really one of the most beautiful of my 2019 season.
