This variety comes to us from Kentucky heirloom expert, the late Gary Millwood. Gary was my first tomato mentor when I started seriously growing tomatoes. He was a tomato rockstar!! Many Kentucky heirlooms and family tomatoes are grown today thanks to him. See Gary in attached photos.
This seed was passed on to another grower from Gary. It was either crossed seed or another variety mistakenly dropped in a seed packet. Sadly we don’t know. It’s a huge, monster pink tomato with picture perfect fruit. Most of ours were over 1 pound. Meaty with a deep tomato aroma. Full flavored and beefy. Very old timey taste. Named after Gary himself, I’m sure he would be proud of this one.
