Blanket Flower– 20+seeds

Native to the plains and Western U.S., Blanket Flower AKA Indian Blanket .This variety was discovered in the 1800’s by Lewis and Clark in Montana. It adds vibrant, bold color to any sunny garden and blooms for months. This perennial Gaillardia is extremely easy to grow. Self seeding, it returns every year. Very attractive to pollinators and deer resistant. Grows to about 18 inches tall.  Beautiful in a wildflower garden.

Can be direct sown when soil temperatures reach 70(F) or since  they take four to five months from sowing until flowering, sow them indoors 6 to 8 weeks prior to the last spring frost outdoors. Germination is quickest with a soil temperature of 70 (F) as from a heating mat.
